Wedding Season

It’s wedding season, baby! Whether your big day is coming up, you’re standing up as your BFF’s maid of honor, or you just want to look hottt (yes, with three T’s) for those cute groomsmen, it’s important to do a little planning.

We know—you’ve done so much planning already. But obviously, you want to look like the best version of yourself on your big day. Scheduling your hair and makeup trial is obvious, but have you thought about whether or not to get other beauty treatments, like a sprinkle of tox or lip injections?

If so, it’s important to plan ahead and make sure you give yourself enough time to get the full effect. Follow this guide to help you plan your appointments so that come wedding day, you look more stunning than Gisele Bundchen.

Lip Injections

Whether you’re looking to enhance your natural beauty or don full-on Kardashian lips, these dermal fillers are a great way to soften, define and plump your lips. Results last up to a year, but you’ll want to give yourself at least a month to make sure the product is fully settled.  If you’re trying to build up your lips and want them on the more voluptuous side, allow yourself a couple months in order to have a couple of sessions before the big day.

Botox and Dysport

Botox and dysport treatments relax the muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, softening your features and preventing further wrinkles from forming. Your skin will GLOW. It usually takes 2 weeks to see full results, which last for 3-5 months. So, you’ll want to time your treatments carefully so that you get the full effect.

If it’s your first time, we suggest getting at least 2 treatments with us before the big day so that you can make sure your tox is exactly how you want it. Usually, starting the tox process about 6 months before an event is a good idea so we can all be on the same page and allow any opportunities for tweaking.

Dermal Filler

Dermal filler is a natural, semi-permanent injectable that fills in areas like lips, cheeks, jawline, chin, smile lines and under-eye wrinkles. Results are instant and last up to 18 months, but you may experience mild bruising and swelling for 2-7 days after your treatment. Give yourself plenty of time between getting dermal filler and your wedding day so that you don’t have to worry about covering up bruises on your big day. If you are wanting to look snatched for the big day, booking at least 2 sessions a couple of months apart will ensure that we have enough time to slowly and naturally get you to your goals.

Kybella

So far, we’ve told you about some temporary (but pretty long-lasting) treatments to help you look your best on your wedding day. But if you’re looking for something more permanent, kybella is a great option. This individually tailored treatment is injected into areas like the chin, armpits, belly and others to dissolve fat. Great, right? However, you might need to come in for multiple sessions. And after getting kybella, you may experience intense swelling for 2-3 days, with full results in 2-8 weeks. You’ll want to plan carefully and book your appointments well in advance of your wedding day (at least 4 months), so that you’re looking your best and not experiencing any side effects.

PDO Threads

These dissolvable surgical threads help to lift, tighten and better contour the texture of your skin. They start to dissolve after 2-3 months, which stimulates your body to grow collagen to keep your face looking youthful. Best part? That collagen lasts 2-3 years. We advise getting PDO threads 3-4 months prior to the big day to experience the best results.

Sculptra

The fountain of youth might not exist, but sculptra is pretty damn close. This injectable stimulates your body’s collagen production. You usually see results within 30-90 days, and they can last 2-3 years. Since this injection can take up to 6-8 months for full potential, Sculptra is best started about a year before the big day.

Still have questions? We get it. Everybody is different, and the best treatment for one bride may not be the best for another.
